Harstad, Norway4,7 mill people are living in Norway. Can you see the red arrow?
Because Harstad is situated by the coast the climate is quite mild thanks to the Gulf Stream. Harstad has about 25.000 inhabitants. Our house is at the countryside 25 km from town centre. It takes 100 minutes by air to go to our capitol Oslo.

Fjords and mountains, green grass and flush vegetation.
Some snow in the mountains which doesn't melt during the summer.
Light 24 hours in the summertime. From late November till mid January we
can't see the sun at all.
But it's
not totally dark as some people think.

Deep deep down is Gratangen fjord.
Picture below is taken on the darkest day of the year, December the 21.
The sun is below the horizon but the light is reflected by the clouds. Lovely.
Part of my dear home town.

Tjeldsund from Evenes.

The Northern Lights. We can see this during the winter (it must be dark).
HOME SWEET HOME

Our house, autumn 2007.

First day of snow 2007.

From my backyard, trees covered in wet snow.
J But flowers does grow here in the north:

Room for dogs to play.
Ready, steady GO.. Gulliver and Rikke loves to fetch things.

Inger Marie from Maleza kennel came to see us. It was cold but we wanted to sit
outside anyway.
Our nearest "neighbours" are big open fields, sometimes with grassing sheep.
It's lovely to watch.
My dogs don't mind them if they keep away from our fence.
The sheep have learnt, they grass close to our boundary during the night when the dogs
are inside. Smart sheep!
If we are away it happens we have visitors in the garden. Is the grass always greener on the other side?

Thanks- that's all for now.
